The role of various sieve plates in screening equipment

The sieve plate is an important working part of the sieving machine to complete the sieving process. Each sieving equipment must choose a sieve plate that meets its working requirements.

The various characteristics of the materials, the different structure of the sieve plate, the material and the various parameters of the sieve machine all have certain effects on the screening capacity, efficiency, running rate and life of the vibrating screen. Sieve plate to achieve the best screening effect.

According to the particle size of the material being sieved and the technological requirements of the screening operation, the sieve plates can be generally divided into the following types:

1.Strip screen

The rod screen is composed of a group of steel rods arranged in parallel and having a certain cross-sectional shape.
The rods are arranged in parallel, and the interval between the rods is the size of the screen holes. Rod screens are generally used for fixed screens or heavy-duty vibrating screens, and are suitable for screening coarse-grained materials with particle sizes greater than 50mm.

2.Punch screen

Punching sieve plates are generally punched out of circular, square or rectangular sieve holes on steel plates with a thickness of 5-12mm. Compared with the circular or square sieve plate, the sieve surface of the rectangular sieve usually has a larger effective area, lighter weight and higher productivity. It is suitable for processing materials with higher moisture content, but the separation accuracy of the sieve is poor .

3. Woven mesh screen plate:

The woven mesh sieve plate is woven with metal wire pressed with a buckle, and the shape of the sieve hole is square or rectangular. Its advantages are: light weight, high opening rate; and in the screening process, because the metal wire has a certain elasticity, it vibrates at a high frequency, so that the fine particles adhered to the steel wire fall off, thereby improving the screening efficiency. It is suitable for the screening of medium and fine grain materials. However, it has a short life span.

4.Slotted screen

Slotted sieve plate is made of stainless steel as sieve bar. There are three types of structure: threaded, welded and knitted.
The shape of the sieve section of the sieve sieve plate is circular, and the slot width can be 0.25mm, 0.5mm, 0.75mm, 1mm, 2mm, etc.
Slotted sieve plate is suitable for dewatering, desizing and desliming operations in the center of fine grain.

5. Polyurethane sieve plate:

Polyurethane sieve plate is a kind of polymer elastic sieve plate, which has excellent abrasion resistance, oil resistance, hydrolysis resistance, bacteria resistance, and aging resistance. The sieve plate can not only greatly reduce equipment weight, reduce equipment cost, prolong service life, but also reduce noise. It is widely used in mining, metallurgy, coal carbon, coke, coal washing, petroleum, chemical and other industries.

The shapes of the holes in the polyurethane sieve plate are: comb teeth, square holes, long holes, round holes, and slot-type. Grading size of materials: 0.1-80mm.

Whether the sieve plate is evenly tightened and firm when installed on the sieve box has a great influence on the screening efficiency and service life of the sieve surface. Generally, punching screens and slot screens are fixed with wooden wedges; woven meshes with smaller mesh diameters and punching screens with thicknesses less than 6mm are fixed with pull hooks; woven meshes with mesh diameters greater than 9.5mm and thicknesses greater The 8mm punching screen is fixed by pressing and screws.
